CPR

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique that combines chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth breaths. CPR helps maintain blood flow in the body until trained professionals arrive to take over.

First Aid

First Aid is emergency care given immediately to an injured person. The purpose of first aid is to minimize injury and future disability. In serious cases, first aid may be necessary to keep the victim alive.

AED

An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is used to help someone experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It is an easy-to-use device designed to analyze the heart's rhythm, and deliver an electrical shock if needed to reestablish the heart rhythm.

Bloodborne Pathogens

Bloodborne pathogens (BBP) are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in humans. These pathogens include, but are not limited to, hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Needlesticks and other sharps-related injuries may expose workers to bloodborne pathogens.

Youth First Aid & Safety Class

This class is geared specifically toward grade school age children. Children as young as four years old can begin learning simplified ways to keep themselves safe and even the adults who care for them. Youth will learn the basics of how to recognize an emergency, how to prevent and treat minor injuries and how to create a safety plan. This course if great for young people to do with their friends, youth groups and organizations, scout troops*.

This course satisfies requirements for Girl Scouts First Aid Badge.

Learning Style

We strive to accommodate all learning styles. Most courses offer both styles of learning. When you schedule your class you will determine which learning style you receive. Contact Us for questions about learning styles and accommodations.

Blended Learning

Take the largest portion of the course from the comfort of your computer! Then come test out in-person during the in-person Instructor led skills session. This course meets OSHA/workplace requirements. Allow yourself approximately two hours and five minutes to complete the course.

Instructor-Led

This In-Person lecture style of teaching is set in the traditional classroom setting.
Instructor-led teaching affords the student ample time to ask questions receive feedback.
