About the Course
Until Help Arrives (American Red Cross)
Created by the Red Cross in collaboration with the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), this non‑certification online course empowers you to step in confidently as a first responder before EMS arrives. You’ll gain essential skills to help sustain or save a life in critical situations, including:
• Compression‑only CPR (no breaths)
• AED basics — where to find and how to use one
• Choking response — recognize and assist quickly
• Life‑threatening bleeding — use pressure, tourniquets, and post‑bleed care
• Overdose response — administer naloxone in an opioid emergency
***Note: This course does not meet OSHA workplace certification requirements. For a 2‑year Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certificate that is OSHA‑compliant, Contact Us to enroll in either Instructor‑led Training or a Blended Learning course.
